SLEEP THERAPY

This 6 week programme is aimed at helping people to understand more about sleep, to worry less about sleep and to feel less tired and bothered about the effect that sleep problems have on their lives. By the end of the programme most people will be experiencing improved functioning and will be more relaxed and content. The programme is based on ACT principles which have a good evidence base for helping people with sleep pre-occupation disorders and insomnia. A major goal of the programme is to increase willingness to experience unpleasant thoughts, feelings and physical sensations. These insights enable the advancement in personally-valued behaviours, while non-judgmentally observing these unpleasant experiences.

Recover from Depression

This programme involves an exploration of the costs of anxiety to the individual. The participant gains an understanding about how anxiety is largely maintained by experiential avoidance. Participants are introduced to a range of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) strategies to let go of the distress that is so often a feature of anxiety. The aim of the programme is to explore the maintaining factors of anxiety, to understand the nature of experiential avoidance, enable the attendee to be less bothered by thoughts, feelings and emotions, to live a life in touch with values and to explore a functional analysis of anxiety.

PANIC

This programme is aimed at people whose lives are negatively affected by symptoms and experiences of panic. The programme utilises a range of evidence based strategies to manage anxiety and move towards living a happy and meaningful life. The programme helps people to establish their values, to understand the neurology of panic and to use a range of mindful and acceptance based approaches to once again live happily. The aim of the programme is to review unworkable strategies to manage anxiety, develop workable alternative approaches to live well with reduced symptoms and to understand better the maintaining mechanisms of panic.

HEALTHY LIVING

This webinar programme aims to use a compassion focussed approach that reacquaints people with an improved sense of self regard. Participants are also encouraged to work on issues of weight gain by learning how to surf urges, and make better food and exercise choices. Participants will be supported to utilise a number of therapeutic techniques to improve self-esteem. The aim of the programme is to identify the factors that contribute to an individual’s problems with maintain healthy eating and exercising strategies, learn how to better manage urges and cravings, learn how to utilise a more compassionate approach towards motivating oneself to live a healthier life and to help people to understand and manage the low mood and anxiety feelings that accompany problems with weight gain and the struggle to maintain a healthy weight.

WORK PLACE STRESS

This programme is aimed at people who are struggling to thrive in their place of work. The programme reacquaints people with issues of life balance and aims to encourage greater psychological flexibility in order to mindfully address the stress inherent in many work settings. The programme recognises that most stress issues are inter-personal. As such participants will learn a range of skills to manage relationships without feelings of panic and anxiety. the aim of the programme is to gain an understanding of ineffective ways of managing stress, develop an improved work/life balance and to develop skills of psychological resilience.

This programme uses theories and practice of behavioural activation merged with values led therapy approach called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). The programme can be delivered through individual or group sessions utilising Webinar technologies. Both approaches can help people to live happier more meaningful lives and have a strong evidence base for enabling people experiencing symptoms of Trauma and PTSD, to start functioning well again. The aim of the programme is to reactivate behaviours associated with normal functioning, increase personal coping strategies, reduce symptoms of PTSD and recover from depression / reduce Anxiety levels.
